If you've read the Unit page already, then you understand what this section is for, and what the first four buttons, above, do...

You will notice there are two FORUMS buttons, one in the left menu, and one above.  The left button will take you to the public forum, while the button above will take you to the restricted Non-Comms forum.  Non-Commissioned Officer personnel have one forum in which Officers cannot enter, a place only you and your fellow Non-Comms can go; I ask you to be responsible or the privilege will be removed.
In the Operations Manual you downloaded, read through, and qualified on the forums with, you read through a section on the rank structure of the unit and the responsibilities inherent to each rank.  Therefore, you should also know by now that your responsibilities, though they may not seem greater than those of the Enlisted personnel, are indeed so.  You are now a leader, one who is REQUIRED to set an example for the rest; this means your tour of duty with us just became more urgent for the unit.  Everything that applies with Enlisted personnel goes double for you.  Can you handle it?

As a Cadet you were required to download the Operations Manual; as you approach becoming an NCO, a link will be sent so you may download an updated version of it, fit specifically for NCOs.  It will contain all of the original information from the Enlisted version, and more for you to digest to better understand the unit and your role in it.  You will not be able to readily delineate the new sections from the old as many sections will simply be updated with more information; however, you will have different 'checkpoints' in which you must access the NCO forums and 'sign' that you've read and understand a section.  Of course, there will be academics and Hands-On Training to secure your position before and during your tenure as an NCO.

If you're ready to make Sergeant, then congratulations and thank you.  NCOs are the oil between the gears of the Enlisted and the operating Officers, the ones who keep things running when the Enlisted want to be lethargic and the Officers fail to give clear orders.

NOTE: It would behoove you to return to the Unit page and read through the job descriptions again.  If you find something you think you would like to do, simply let your Lance Leader know, and s/he will send it up the chain for possible approval.
