DUTIES:  The CO is responsible for maintaining unit cohesion, for keeping things running, and to be there for the troops when possible.  It's necessary for the CO to be available for battles and training so the troops will feel it necessary to be there as well.  The CO also approves changes to the unit roster and reviews the rank and award structure of MechWarriors active in the unit, to help give them a sense of accomplishment, to keep up morale, and to make more people want to come to the unit when recruited.  If you are dealing with unit business, please follow your chain of command?  Otherwise, there's an open door policy for personal business from my friends in this unit.  All duties may be passed to the Executive Officer and Legal Affairs Officer when necessary.

BATTLETECH/MECHWARRIOR PRIOR UNITS AND RANKS

Noted Wolf Unit Service:  I formed this unit from the very beginning in November and December of 1984, and I have kept records, history, and everything else for this unit ever since.  I have miniatures that are bound to be older than some of you, and I intend to carry the tradition of this unit until I, or BattleTech, dies.  My experience is without question, although my ability to fight might be, and anyone wishing to challenge that is welcome to try on my rank first.

Prior Unit Service
Eridani Light HorsePrior Unit:  Eridani Light Horse
Rank, Awards, Honors:  Corporal, no awards or honors
Dates of Service & Experience:  04/'97 - 06/'97; I played two training sessions and one battle in NetMech with these people before their unit died.
Personal Notes:  Playing within this unit they seemed like a pretty tight-knit bunch.  However, they were seldom to their own scheduled training sessions, nor were they keen to show for battles at the appointed times.  All-in-all it was a good experience to see how a unit should not be run.

Northwind HighlandersPrior Unit:  Northwind Highlanders
Rank, Awards, Honors:  Private, no awards or honors
Dates of Service & Experience:  07/'97 - 10/'97; The unit died after only three training sessions and no battles.
Personal Notes:  These guys could never really seem to get together, even though they were more cohesive and communicative than the Eridani Light Horse were.   They did train me as much as they could in movement, weapons use, and ammunition conservation, but beyond that I didn't go.

Wolf's DragoonsPrior Unit:  Wolf's Dragoons (aka Clan Goliath Scorpion)
Rank, Awards, Honors:  Major (Battalion Commander), and I received an award for something, but I don't remember what it was for.
Dates of Service & Experience:  11/'97 - 07/'98; Through some wonderful training sessions and many battles I learned what I know now.  I was taught by the best on the net (JDragoon), and I carry that experience with me here.  If any of the ex-WDs from Archangel's old unit want to join this one, you will find a place of honor here.
Personal Notes:  These guys were the epitome of what Wolf's Dragoons should be, as good as Jaime and Maeve Wolf could ever make them, and I have not seen another unit of the Dragoons yet that could match these folks.  We played NetMech and Mercs, but I was out just as MW3 hit the market.  Unfortunately, due to internal strife concerning the changeover to Clan Goliath Scorpion, they disbanded at that time as well.  I miss these guys and, had we not come to a misunderstanding about the unit becoming a Clan unit, I would have been with them until they disbanded as Wolf's Dragoons.  I have lost contact with all of the old unit members, and I regret that.

FURTHER NOTES:  My personal motto is "Courage, Duty, Glory, Honor - It might not get you very far on the battlefield, but it will be with you until the day you die"

Military History:  (Actual)  I spent six years in the U.S. Army as a BlackHawk Helicopter Repairer, Aviation Life Support Equipment Technician, and Combat Medic.  I spent four months in Bosnia in support of Operation Joint Endeavor, and almost got to see combat several times.  (BattleTech)  I have spent a great deal of time, since late 1984, playing BattleTech on the board, and running this unit in various incarnations.  (MechWarrior)  I have been playing on-line since 1997 with Eridani Light Horse, Northwind Highlanders, Wolf's Dragoons, and this unit.  When I first started in the game I had not developed an on-line persona.  When I began Armageddon Unlimited towards the end of 1998 I created the next character in the Wolf lineage and continued the unit I had run since 1984.  (Character)  Click here to read the entire lineage of the Wolf family and the mercenary unit you are now in.
