If you've read the Unit page already, then you understand what this section is for, and what the first four buttons, above, do...

You will notice there are two FORUMS buttons, one in the left menu, and one above.  The left button will take you to the public forum, while the button above will take you to the restricted Officers Country forum.  Officers will be responsible with these forums, or will lose their privilege to participate in them; that is one step on the road to demotion.
You have read through the Enlisted and Non-Commissioned Officers expanded Operations Manual, and you've done what was requested of you, there, and from the Command Staff and Line Officers of this unit, which is the only reason you're an Officer.  As with NCOs, you are a leader, one who is REQUIRED to set an example for the rest, including for NCOs; this means your tour of duty with us just became of paramount importance to the unit.  Everything that applies with Enlisted and NCO personnel goes double for you.  This is not an easy road to travel, so if you can't handle it, figure out why and change yourself so you can handle it.  Everyone in the world can be better than they ever believe, if they apply themselves.

As an NCO you were required to download the NCO version of the Operations Manual; as you approach becoming an Officer, a link may be sent so you may download an updated version of it, fit specifically for Officers.  It will contain all of the original information from the Enlisted and NCO version, and more for you to digest to better understand the unit and your role in it.  You will not be able to readily delineate the new sections from the old as many sections will simply be updated with more information; however, you will have different 'checkpoints' in which you must access the Officer forums and 'sign' that you've read and understand each section.  Of course, there will be academics and Hands-On Training to secure your position before and during your tenure as an Officer.

A link MAY be sent to you, although not most definitely.  First, you must ensure -we maintain service records- that all of your Enlisted and NCO training is completed and a record is readily available if you did it but we don't have it.  Second, your character and prowess in leadership and on the battlefield will be assessed without your knowledge -we will be scouting you.  Third, there must be a slot available for you to fit into as an Officer; this will depend on the number of personnel in the unit at present.  Fourth, you will be queried to ask if you want to become an Officer; this will go out with the Officers Manual link email we will send you.  If you have no interest in becoming an Officer, don't do anything once you receive this email, and you will continue in NCO ranks as high as you can go.  Having highly trained NCOs is equally as important as having Officers in the right places.

As an Officer in this unit you will be constantly tested by the wills of those who serve under and beside you, by the Command Staff to improve your worth to yourself and the unit, by your opponents who will see your rank and seek to remove you quickly from the battlefield, and hopefully by your self so you may, indeed, improve.  There is always room for improvement.

If you're ready to become an Officer, then congratulations and thank you.  Officers are the guides of this unit, the ones who choose the fights and build us to be ever more powerful.  Officers make the final decisions, develop plans to overcome daunting challenges, and build cohesion with other Officers, NCOs and Enlisted alike.  The job of a good Officer is not easy to do, at all, but the rewards may be well worth it.

NOTE: It would behoove you to return to the Unit page and read through the job descriptions again.  If you find something you think you would like to do, simply let your next higher chain Officer know, and s/he will send it up the chain for possible approval.
